At Deception Island, remnants of structures and artefacts from the whaling era, rise like scars on scorched earth. How tragic that the only signs of humanity are of greed and ferocity in exploiting all there is around us to the point of exhaustion.
Today, only activities related to science and peace is allowed on the continent, guaranteeing the freedom for wildlife to once again roam the land and the seas.”
